Student Projects
Loonie
Loonie can be played by clicking the splash-screen above or the link below.
Play Me!
Loonie was a student project that was developed in a small team of 3 people, including myself, within a span of approximatly 15 weeks. Loonie was the first project in which I designed all the levels and planned the mechanics of the obstacles that would either benefit or hinder the player.
Loonie is a deceptively challenging 2D puzzle platformer where the main objective for the player is to get a balloon to the end of the level without it popping and keeping themselves alive in the process. Throughout the level there are various obstacles in which the player has to avoid or use to their advantage to get the balloon to the end.
If you let Loonie touch the ground of if it gets popped by an obstacle, the player fails and the player will have to restart the level. The challenge present within Loonie is to be aware of both the life of the player and the life of the balloon.
An advanced player during each level must worry about their completion time and collecting coins. The game has a ranking system that records what time and collection of coins that the player has collected. In order to get a perfect three star score the player must finish the level within the par time and collect all the coins present within the level.
Layton Project
The Layton Student Project can be found clicking the link below.
Click Me!
The Layton Project was a student project that aimed to allow the user to have an interactive experience with web design. My choice was a simple Professor Layton short story in which the player would have to make it to the end by completing various puzzles.
All of the assets from the game/experience were taken from the Professor Layton games and were used to create the scenes and the puzzles.
This game had the music from the Layton games in the original project but is not present in this version due to copyright.
